3rd Shift:
11pm - 7am
Summary:
The Bagger position is required to operate a bagging machine to properly fill bags with product, ensure proper labeling and weight, and ensure bags successfully pass through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area.
The position may also be required to perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the department manager.
Essential Functions:
Ensure batch numbers and product code on the labels match with the product being dumpedMake sure metal detector is in good working conditionStack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid colorReturn any unused label back to the operator so that it can be recordedClean machine and work area as requiredDetect any malfunction of metal detector and rollers and report it to the supervisor.
Comply with all safety requirements and company policiesReport all shortage to the lead operatorOther duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentKnowledge about manufacturing food preferredAble to communicate well, both verbal and written, also with good mathematical skillsAble to lift 50 lbs.
continuouslyAble to work 12 hour shifts, overtime, and weekendsWork Environment:
The job is performed in production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
